Here comes our home

November 30th, 2015 is the day that our house was delivered.

We "closed" on it on November 13th (Friday) and then had to wait for our dirt to be delivered and the drivers to schedule our delivery.

Two weeks later (that is because of the Thanksgiving Holiday) our home was pulling onto our property.
Here it is at the end of our driveway.
It was kind of nerve wracking watching a 14' wide house come down a 20" easement

Then he had to turn it onto our driveway.

Pulling up to our land.

Spreading the dirt.
After delivering half of our house, the truck driver got in this little machine and started creating the pad our house was to go on. He worked quick. It only took him about 45 minutes to spread 12 loads of dirt out.
Here comes the 2nd half

Down the driveway again.

Pulling our home onto the pad
The same little machine that leveled our dirt, then hooked up to the house and pulled it onto the pad.

Working together to get the house on the pad.
Before they delivered the dirt and the house, my husband and I were left with the task of staking out where we wanted our house exactly. This is where they dumped the dirt and delivered the house.

The crew created the pad around those stakes, then pulled the house between them. I had to go out and sign off that the house was put exactly where it was supposed to be.

Up next is the nitty gritty... house set, septic, well... and eventually move in day!
