Now, I don't think homeschooling is a crazy idea at all. In fact, I have thought about homeschooling both of our girls. What is crazy though, is that I am going to homeschool our three year old with our two year old in tow, try to maintain a Christ centered home, a home business, and be a good homemaker, oh yea... and a full time online college student.
My husband is a public school teacher, and they go back at the beginning of August. My daughter is old enough to go to pre-school at our church, but quite frankly I don't think I have the time to commit to take her 5 days a week for a few hours a day.
In comes this crazy idea that I will homeschool her a few hours each day this year to get her ready for V-PK next year.
I have no idea what I am doing. Like NONE, zero, zilch! But... I trust the Lord will help me along the way, and I know he is giving me the desire to do this.
I have been searching Pinterest for lots of ideas and
First up was making a 1st day of school plaque!
We are planning on making the first day of school a big deal. We are doing pictures and a nice breakfast and the whole nine yards.
The first day of school picture sign is printed on white paper and put in a white picture frame. I am going to write on the frame instead of the paper, this way I can use the sign over each year. I also made a "Last day of School" sign, for you guessed it... the last day of school.
If you are interested in getting a custom picture sign made like the one pictured, you can purchase it in my business shop here. Please know that it is NOT an instant download as I will need to personalize the file for you.
If you have any tips/tricks for me, please head over to my facebook page and let me know!
I am kind of excited about this 1st day of school thing. Maybe a little more than I should be?
Oh , and I might have a slight obsession with school supplies... I mean how many pens and pencils does a 3 year old need anyway?!
I am looking forward to a fun homeschooling year, will you tag along and see how it goes? Don't forget to subscribe to my blog so you don't miss any posts.
