Busy Mama

Here is a brief update on what is going on around here.

We have been living with my hubby's parents for 2 months now. We were supposed to close on selling our house at then end of May, that kept getting pushed back, and we finally closed at the beginning of July!

We are in the process of getting our property ready for our new home both physically and legally. I never knew there was so many steps to get property transferred into your name and then ready to live on! (Our property is family land that is being passed down to my hubby from his Great-Grandma)

I started college. I am a full-time online business major student at the University of Phoenix. I just finished my 1st class yesterday, so I am just getting comfortable with how this all works. I like the set-up. Instead of having three semesters of 3-5 classes at a time, you take 1 class at a time for 5 weeks. I am in the accelerated program, so there is no down time. I ended my 1st class yesterday, and started my 2nd class this morning!

My business is picking up! I have been staying really busy with customer orders which is wonderful!  I really appreciate all of the love and support from my customers! If you need anything embroidered, or made... please check out my site: www.jchildsdesigns.com or www.facebook.com/jchildsdesigns. (Fair warning, my website is "rough" to say the least.)

I am working on a few great tutorials and projects, including my first ever Quilt! I have tons and tons of scrap fabric that "I just can't throw away." So I am going to attempt a scrappy quilt. Would you be interested in joining me?

And last but not least, here are some pictures of my girls. They are growing up so fast!

Here is Laya! She is almost 8 months old!

4th of July! Addie loved the "big ones"

We have been working on getting our property ready. Here is our little helper.
So life is really busy around here, but I will check in from time to time. I am working on a mini series still of selling our house as well as the process we are going through to buy a new house.
